BBC Waterloo Road actor among the stars for Bedworth charity match

A charity football match is set to take place tomorrow (June 9) featuring a lineup of TikTok creators, influencers, ex-professional footballers and celebrities. The match will take place at Bedworth United Football Club to support two causes, It Takes Balls to Talk and Hallie's Helping Hands.

It aims to raise awareness and funds for mental health and childhood cancer research. Participants include Ryan Windridge, Cal the Dragon, StillRyan, Mashtag Brady, The Spud Brothers, actor Reece Douglas (who played Denzil in Waterloo Road), and many more.

In collaboration with Men United Against Suicide FC Coventry, the event will feature two matches. Kick-off is at 11am, followed by the main event at 3pm featuring the influencers.

Organisers are promising a family-friendly day out, with lots of activities, from meet and greets with children's characters to bouncy castles, funfair rides, and food from street food vendors such as Spud Brothers, Candy Alley, Ices, Jiggsys, and more. James Penny, organiser of It Takes Balls to Talk charity said: "We are thrilled to be organising this remarkable event.

"It's not only about the thrill of football but also about coming together to support important causes that impact our community. We're grateful for the support from all our participants and sponsors, and we're looking forward to a day filled with excitement and giving back."

Tickets for the event are available on Skiddle, with limited availability left. Adults are £8.50, children are £6.00, with a family ticket for two adults and two children at £22.25 that can be purchased here.
