BBC's Emma Louise Jones goes under knife - but still makes it back for Leeds winning goal
BBC presenter Emma Louise Jones recently announced that she was taking a break away from the screens due to health reasons.
The 34-year-old from Leeds, who first appeared with the corporation in 2021, has been a regular on the likes of Match Of The Day X and has also worked with various other broadcasters in her career. The Yorkshire-born star, who also works for Leeds United Football Club TV, has gained a large following over the course of her career to date and is certainly very popular among sport fans.
Earlier this year she took to social media to announce that she would temporarily be putting her hosting duties on hold, having spent a lot of time in hospital this year. In June Emma took to X to provide an update writing: "My health hasn’t been in a great place for quite some time now and I’ve spent more time in hospital than my own home. I’m taking time away from work/life to focus on getting back to full strength. I’ll be back soon."

This week she is back in hospital again as she undergoes an operation - but it seems not even her health will keep Leeds United fan from watching the game. In an amusing update Emma shared a snap of herself lied in her hospital bed where she admitted not even her operation could stop her from catching yesterdays winning goal.
Sharing the smiley selfie to her stories Emma penned: "I was in theatre during the Leeds game and got back to my hospital bed just in time for the winning goal."
