Bear Damages Property in Traverse City, Michigan

Officers were called to the scene of a bear disturbance in Traverse City, Michigan, where the animal was causing property damage near 9th and 10th Streets, according to the Traverse City Police Department.

The bear was primarily interested in bird feeders and garbage, according to the department, who urged people to elevate their feeders and limit access to food. Police said they’ve reached out to the Department of Natural Resources Wildlife Division to help with the situation.
