Bear Seen 'Hanging Out' in Neighborhood as Authorities Issue 'Fat Bear Fall' Warning
Authorities in Colorado issued a warning about Fat Bear Fall as they posted footage and photos of the removal of an animal that had been “eating and hanging around” in a residential neighborhood.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) said the bear was seen in Arvada, adding, “we’re in Fat Bear Fall so bears are looking for food everywhere.”
As the bear was not inclined to leave the area, the CPW “decided to relocate into better bear habitat with better food sources.”
The animal was released into “a much better location,” with the CPW urging people to “keep your trash secured, cars locked, and candy inside. Bears need to eat things they find in the wild, not our trash.” Credit: Colorado Parks and Wildlife — Northeast Region via Storyful
