Silverburn Shopping Centre could soon have an exciting new restaurant after plans were submitted to Glasgow City Council.

EA Restaurant Ltd have applied for permission to open at a retail unit in the centre in Pollok, with plans for it to house a new Scallop's Tale restaurant.

Taking over the Post Office at unit 40, the plans are for the eatery to offer a sit-in spot and takeaway with a top menu of classic seafood favourites.

The original restaurant was opened at Bearsden Cross in the spring of 2022 by Dr Usman Qureshi and wife, Shafea.

Dr Usman, a lifelong fan of seafood, created a menu of locally sourced fresh signature seafood dishes as well as plenty of alternative options such as pasta and burgers.

The restaurant has quickly become a favourite with locals and visitors alike and was recently named among Glasgow's best chippies by our readers.

Currently under consideration by Glasgow City Council any decision as to whether the restaurant plans will go ahead is expected by Friday, December 13.
