While Beat The Chasers returned to our screens on Monday (May 3), one beloved chaser did not – and fans have noticed.

Paul Sinha – AKA The Sinnerman – did not appear on the spin-off version of fan favourite The Chase. He has previously explained to his followers on Twitter that he wasn't in good health at the time of filming.

Fans have taken to social media to voice their disappointment at his absence – "Why aren’t you there Paul? Do you have to take turns?" one asked, while another posted: "The show isn’t the same without you".

While expressing how much he missed Paul on the show – which sees the show's Chasers team up and go head-to-head against a contestant – another viewer jokingly referred to him as "good craic and probably the 3rd smartest too".

The team of Chasers included Jenny 'The Vixen' Ryan, Anne 'The Governess' Hegerty, Shaun 'The Dark Destroyer' Wallace, Mark 'The Beast' Labbett and Darragh 'The Menace' Ennis.

Monday's (May 3)'s episode saw medical librarian Caitlyn become the first winner in the series. She ended up taking home £10,000 with 21 seconds still on the clock.

While the beloved quizzer and stand-up comedian Sinha won't take part in The Chase's prime-time spin-off, there is another Chase-related series we'll be able to catch him in: ITV Hub's The Chase Extra.

The six-episode series will flip the main gameshow's format and allow each Chaser to have a go at being a quizmaster, presenting their fans 10 (fiendishly difficult, we expect) quiz questions.

Beat The Chasers will air nightly at 9PM on ITV between Monday, 3 May and Friday, 7 May 2021. The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
