Another day, another nugget of quality BBC News content featuring our favourite newsreader Simon McCoy.

But rather than entertaining us by sassing the royals or surfing dogs, this time Simon was played – or should we say beatboxed – out as his Afternoon Live show drew to a close.

You can watch Rupert Oldridge and Jack Hobbs, aka Bass6 and Hobbit, aka the Beatbox Collective, show off their spittle skills below.

We've finally reached peak Simon McCoy, haven't we?

In other, equally wonderful (read: kind of weird) BBC News-related news, Simon recently showed his distaste for dogs getting into the festive spirit live on air.

It is only November, so we'll give him that one.

It all happened when Louise Lear shared an adorable photo of her dog Madge while presenting the weather report earlier this month.

Appearing onscreen behind Louise "by special request", Madge could be seen in antlers "getting ready for the Christmas lights". Bless.

While we'll take any animal photo we can get, Simon was characteristically sarcastic. "That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen!" he boomed, hijacking the weather report. "Any excuse!"

Hey, at least it's not hilariously loud porn noises.

Yes, proving that live TV is the gift that keeps on giving, BBC Breakfast accidentally treated their viewers to the sound of a woman having an orgasm while Emma Vardy delivered a news report.

Awkward.
