Sir Paul McCartney will be heading to the UK next month as he continues on his 'Got Back' world tour. The Beatles star has been touring North and South America in recent months but has today issued a tour update with his Instagram followers.

Sharing a video, the 82-year-old said: "Thankful for the fans who came to the Got Back tour this year. Next stop, Europe! #PaulMcCartneyGotBack." In June, Sir Paul McCartney announced four huge UK tour dates.

He will play Manchester's Co-op Live on Saturday, December 14 and Sunday, December 15, before heading to London's O2 Arena to play on Wednesday, December 18 and Thursday, December 19. The four gigs will mark Sir Paul’s first UK shows since his Glastonbury headlining performance back in 2022.

The video shared to the musician's social media showed him meeting with fans across the globe with clips of messages from fans making an emotional montage. Supportive comments included: "Paul you are the best human in the world" and "@paulmccartney Manchester in 2 weeks time. Beyond excited."

Others added "that was a lot of fun shows! amazing fans" and "I love you, Paul! Thank you for being part of the best moments of my life." Tomorrow, Beatles fans will be treated to a new documentary on Disney+. The documentary film "Beatles '64", is produced by legendary film-maker Martin Scorsese.

The documentary includes archive footage shot by Albert and David Maysles, never-seen-before clips, and new interviews with fans and fellow musicians (as well as with Ringo and Paul themselves). It tells the story of the band's all-conquering arrival in the States.

Beatles '64" will show photo montages of the band's early days in Liverpool, leading to their New York arrival, where thousands of screaming and crying fans mob John, Paul, George and Ringo. Fan interviews from those who were part of the BeatleMania will also be shown in new clips.
