Yahoo News The Beautiful Quiz: BT Sport launches new live interactive quizzes
BT Sport have teamed up with a host of technology specialists to launch its first-ever live, interactive quiz shows.
Despite a number of sports now beginning to return - albeit in a limited capacity - broadcasters are still facing the challenge of getting creative to keep the viewers entertained throughout the coronavirus pandemic.
BT Sport are therefore introducing new "pop up" live play-along quiz shows, which will focus on sports such as boxing, rugby, WWE and UFC.
In recent weeks, they have been broadcasting a new show, named 'The Beautiful Quiz', which has put the nation's football knowledge against the likes of Robin Van Persie, Peter Crouch and Chris Sutton.
Guests have been invited to compete for top spot on the leaderboards from the comfort of their own homes, with six rounds of multiple-choice and free-type questions on offer.
While the football-focused 'The Beautiful Quiz' ends this week, the next sport quiz will be held ahead of the Emirates FA Cup Final in August.
In order to make the show happen, BT Sport have partnered up with companies Monterosa, Phenix, Stats Perform and Sunset+Vine, with each assigned a different role.
Of the show, Jamie Hindhaugh, chief operating officer, BT Sport, said: “The Beautiful Quiz¸ is the right programme at the right time, enabling all sports fans to come together and test their football knowledge and compete against the likes of Peter Crouch and Chris Sutton.
"The show is just the latest in our team’s stream of highly innovative work during the pandemic to entertain and serve our viewers.”
