TikToker Beauty Glow Girl, who is known for sharing budget high-street versions of luxury makeup, skincare and perfumes, recently took a trip to Primark to check out some of the fragrances that are currently available to buy.
And she says that they're very similar to the likes of perfumes by Chanel, Carolina Herrera and YSL - but they all cost £3 or less, with the high-end versions priced at an eye-watering £300 and upwards.
Showing off each bottle instore, she started with Primark’s Taboo, which is £3 and is supposed to smell just like Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s Baccarat Rouge 540 - priced at £245.
One of the favourites is Primark’s £3 Good Chica, which clearly inspired by Carolina Herrera’s Good Girl perfume costing £124. Primark’s Fresh, £3, is rumoured to be just like Chanel’s Chance Eau Fraiche which is priced at £145.
Meanwhile, the Red Flambe is also £3 is supposed to smell like Tom Ford’s Lost Cherry fragrance. But a bottle of this will cost you a whopping £386.
According to the expert, Primark Free perfume for £3 smells like YSL Libre £97. And Primark PS Wild Azalea, which costs £2.50 for a small bottle, is supposed to smell like Victor & Rolf Flowerbomb at £130.
In the comments, people agreed that these affordable fragrances were in fact very similar to the more high end versions. One person said: "Had so many people been asking me what I’m wearing and it’s the free from Primark for £3."
Another said: "I have red flambé and Baccarat rouge and they both smell the exact same. Except the red flambé is a bit more sweet smelling."
A third commented: "Taboo is the one, it’s always in my handbag," while someone else said: "Good Chica is gorgeous."
Some people noted that the perfumes aren't the longest-lasting, with one person writing: "But they don't last 5 minutes."
However, one beauty fan recommended a simple tip to boost its longevity: "Try a small bit of vase line in what areas you wanna put it (pulse points work better) and then rub it in, THEN add the perfume!! Tried it before and it worked."
