Beauty expert praises 'skincare hack of the year' that could eliminate acne scars
A beauty expert has lauded a "skincare hack of the year" for its impressive effect on "curing" acne scars and pigmentation.
Dealing with spots, blemishes and acne can be challenging, disheartening and time-consuming. There's a medley of products available, with many promising clear skin and acne cures but finding what works for your specific skin type is crucial - but it can be a lengthy process.
Popular content creator Bambi Does Beauty has built up a loyal following of hundreds of thousands across TikTok and Instagram, eager for her tips and advice on skincare and beauty products.
The 34-year-old is well regarded thanks to her honesty and dedication to finding effective solutions on the high street and beyond, and she often shares her insight on tried and tested methods. In a recent TikTok video, which has already garnered more than two million views, the beauty guru was keen to commend silicone scar sheets.
The sheets are garnering buzz in the beauty world due to their potential to diminish unwanted marks and scars caused by spots and acne. These medical-grade, self-adhesive sheets are designed to treat and prevent scarring by maintaining moisture and regulating collagen production during healing, which may improve the appearance of scars in terms of colour, height, and texture.

They're also reported to alleviate itching and discomfort, preventing further damage from picking at wounds.
In the viral video, Bambi demonstrates how she cuts a sheet to fit a blemish before applying it to her face. Overlaid text in the video reads: "To the girl who told us to apply silicone scar sheet to acne pigmentation, I owe you."
She titled the post: "Skincare hack of the year". The comments section was flooded with reactions. One user exclaimed: "My chin area is plastered with them right now because I saw it on TikTok a few minutes ago!!! [Crying laughing emoji] praying it works!!"
Another queried: "Wait, I've seen some say reusable. Is it actually?" A fellow commenter responded: "They say that but after I use mine it's all crumply and of course there's our skin oils - why anyone wants to reuse theirs is beyond me".
One person queried: "Where’s best to get these from?" to which Bambi responded: "I got mine from Amazon! This is the brand elaimei, silicone scar sheets".
Amid the conversation, someone joked: "My whole face would be plastered unfortunately", while another enquired: "Does this actually work? Does it get rid of it because I have lots of acne pigmentation?" An individual answered their question with a positive experience: "Yes! I use it while I'm sleeping/at home and it works amazingly for me."
