These easy tricks will save you time and money.
Homemade sea salt spray
Your pantry has all the ingredients for a spray that will give you sculpted wavy hair in a jiffy. You need 1 cup of hot water, 1 to 2 teaspoons of sea salt, 1 tablespoon of argan/coconut oil, ½ teaspoon leave-in condition, and a little water-based gel or pomade. Pour the hot water in to a spray bottle, add all the other ingredients and mix well. Spray to towel-dried hair and scrunch, scrunch, scrunch. Then tie your hair up in a big braid or a loose top knot while you do the rest of your makeup. Let your hair down once it’s dry and scrunch a little more for beach-perfect locks.
Yoghurt to heal burns
Burnt yourself while using a hair iron or spent too much time out in the sun? Get out that tub of yoghurt and apply it to the affected area. Leave it on for 10 minutes and then wipe off with a cold washcloth. Yoghurt helps cool and hydrate the skin and is packed with probiotics that decrease redness and help restore the skin barrier.
Ace that cat eye
Struggling to get the perfect cat eye and don’t have a stencil on hand? Bring out your trusty Scotch tape for a little assistance. Apply a two-inch piece of the transparent tape at the corner of your eye, underneath your bottom lashes, and angle towards the tip of your brow. Use short, dash like strokes to draw on your wing. Go along the edge of the tape to extend the eyeliner out past the outer corner of the eye. Ensure the liner gets thinner the further out you go. Don’t worry if some of the product gets onto the tape; this is going to come off anyway. Once you’re done, remove the tape to reveal your sharp cat eye.

Clean up glitter with tape
That Scotch tape really does come very handy, so you might want to give it a permanent spot in your vanity case. Applying glitter makeup means it’s sure to get everywhere. You will have to contend with fallout during application and it’s a pain to take off at the end of the day. So what is a girl to do? Take out some tape! Wrap some of the tape around your index finger so that the sticky side faces out and use it to blot the glitter from your skin. Or you can place a piece of tape directly on your skin. Remember to be gentle as you’re working on delicate skin.

Sooth puffy eyes with a spoon
Here’s a quick remedy for baggy, puffy eyes that won’t cost you a penny. Place four to five metal spoons in the freezer for at least 15 minutes or more. Once chilled, place the bowl of the spoons over your eyes. Replace the spoons once they become warm. The cold spoons act like a cold compress over your eyes, reducing puffiness, constricting blood vessels, and tightening the skin around the eyes. We suggest you keep a few spoons in the freezer at all times so you always have one handy.
