The Beckham family is reportedly set to open up their lives to the public with a fly-on-the-wall television series. The famous clan are said to have signed a £16 million deal with Netflix for a reality show that will centre around David Beckham.

According to The Telegraph, the show will feature never-before-seen family camcorder footage of the footballer and his family, charting his career and offering an insight into his marriage and family life.

"This is a real coup for Netflix and will show a completely different side to David, one the public very rarely get to see," The Sun has reported a source saying. "David's family are all massive archivers; they've been proudly documenting his career since he was a boy and have kept all the old local newspaper cuttings, school records and team photos throughout the years."

According to the report, the programme will document Beckham's life both in the past and present: "Some old footage from special occasions will be shown and a crew will document David's life now, following him around the globe as he fulfils various business ventures."

From videos of birthdays, Christmas holidays and special occasions, some of the other archive footage will also feature the blossoming relationship and early dates between David and Victoria before they married in 1999.

Beckham's reps are yet to confirm the reports but it is assumed that the show will be produced by Studio 99, a media and production company that Beckham launched last year.
