A fashion house is not a home. Unless, that is, you're the Beckhams. With a portfolio that's built on the business of dressing well, these fortunate sons (and a daughter) were raised on Gucci, Prada, and Dior, with dad once involved in London brand Kent & Curwen, and mum launching her own label, complete with the sort of Dover Street flagship store that could be easily confused for a contemporary art gallery.

That means they were born with an understanding of nice clothes. And at Victoria's London Fashion Week show, the Beckhams put the family talent on full display, managing to touch upon almost every corner of menswear.

First, take David. Now in his mid-forties, recently he's focused on the classic stuff: rollnecks, two-piece suits, brogues, and the kind of newsboy caps that inspired a generation of men copying (and got them tuning into Peaky Blinders). In this instance, that meant a boxy suit made memorable by Dior's signature silk sash: it's an easy way to tweak your traditional tailoring without going too left-field.

Then Romeo went full Brooklyn. By which we mean the place, not the absent sibling. In a Dior graphic jacket with a handful of silver chains, the 17-year-old opted for the loudest type of acid trip streetwear, in spectacles he might have borrowed from a DJ in Bushwick. You can never tell whether this guy is fresh from a 5am tear-up, or simply on his way to another day in a creative agency: such is the power of modern-day streetwear.

And Cruz stuck to the middle ground. His vibrant knit, from Dior's collaboration with Shawn Stussy, sits on the noisier end of the spectrum, but accessories were more minimal, and his wider leg trousers were topped off with a pair of classic Chuck Taylors. A simpler way to go A Bit Fun. Ages north of 14 can get involved also, and without the crippling fear of trying too hard.

Of course, such adroit dressing is to be expected: you don't show up on front row in the stuff off your bedroom floor. Especially when it's your wife's (or your mother's) big day. But with this multi-pronged approach to menswear, it shows that the Beckhams are each carving out their own path in fashion's first family. And with Dior prints this good, it's highly likely that they'll remain in first place.
