Beirut Locals Work to Clean Up Mar Mikhael Neighborhood Near Blast Site

Locals in Beirut worked to clean up streets filled with debris on Wednesday, August 5, following the massive explosion on Tuesday that killed 135 people and injured more than 5,000 others, according to figures released by Lebanon’s health minister.

There was widespread destruction to cars and buildings in the downtown area near the blast site.

This video shows locals working to clean up a street in the city’s Mar Mikhael neighborhood, near the Port of Beirut.
