Belfast Christmas Market named one of best in UK by top travel magazine

A top travel magazine has named Belfast Christmas Market as one of the best to visit in the UK for 2024.

Condé Nast Traveller is a luxury magazine aimed at the upmarket, independent traveller.

Considered the focal point of festive celebrations in the city centre, the Belfast Christmas Market has featured on their '16 best Christmas markets in the UK' list again this year.

Opening from November 16 to December 22, 2024 marks 20 years of the Christmas Market at its home at Belfast City Hall and millions are expected to visit this festive season.

The CN Traveller has also voted it as the "Best Christmas market in the UK for international food".

They said: "Set in the gardens of the 19th-century Belfast City Hall, this market consists of over 100 chalets selling wreaths, garlands and artisan-made gifts (don’t miss hand-crafted nativity scenes by Holy Land Crafts) as well as an outdoor food court serving up all kinds of dishes from around the world (French crêpes, Belgian chocolates, Dutch mini-pancakes).

"Children will love sliding down the Helter Skelter and riding on the vintage carousel too.

"This year it runs from Saturday 16 November to Sunday 22 December."
