Bella Thorne has hit back at claims that a video of her masturbating has gone viral, taking to Twitter to insist that it is 'not real'.

The clip in question purported to show footage of Thorne talking about her 'need for a father' while masturbating, although the actress has vehemently denied its authenticity.

Addressing the claims on social media, Bella wrote: "Hahahahaha wait you guys think this is real? Hahahaha. I don't even masterbate (sic) like that. Where's the vibrator thooo."

A later tweet slammed the clip for "making fun" of the fact that she lost her father, who tragically died in a road traffic accident in 2007.

"The worst part of this video is them making fun of the fact that I lost my father," she wrote. "You're right. Me being daddyless is sooooo funny."

Bella is no stranger to calling people out on Twitter, famously clapping back at one 'fan' who criticised her for not shaving her legs.

Opening up about the online abuse she received last year, Bella admitted she "used to be upset" by people's comments, but is ready to just say "f**k 'em" now.

"I used to be upset when I would see the comments," she admitted. "But I've started to realise that they may be going out of their way to make people feel bad about themselves because they have their own insecurities.

"Sometimes I just want to say, 'F**k 'em, get off my socials, dawg'."
