Bellshill man stabbed by masked gang in Tesco car park before fleeing scene in Range Rover
An investigation has been launched after a gang of masked men reportedly stabbed a man in a Tesco car park in Bellshill before fleeing in a Range Rover.
Emergency services were called to the supermarket on North Road between 12.45pm and 1.15pm on Thursday, September 26. Officers say a 26-year-old man was 'attacked' with a bladed weapon near a red van.
It is understood the suspects were all wearing black balaclavas and made off from the scene in a black Range Rover. The victim was rushed to Wishaw General Hospital and is being treated for serious injuries.

Detective Constable Adele Johnston from Wishaw CID said: “This was a violent assault on the victim who has been left with serious injuries and extensive enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of what happened.
“The car park would have been relatively busy around the time and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the attack, or who has any information which could be of significance, to get in touch.
“We would also appeal to motorists with dashcams who were in the area to check their footage in case they have captured anything which could be relevant to our enquiries.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2243 of Thursday, 26 September, 2024. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
