Beloved Cambridge bakery hosting cosy Christmas cheese, wine and pastry tasting
A gourmet Christmas cheese, wine and pastry tasting is set to bring together some of Cambridge's top food and wine retailers. It's less than £50 for the event, which is being hosted by Fitzbillies, Rennet and Rind and Cambridge Wine Merchants
The event features a series of six 'pairings' of wine, cheese and sweet treats at Fitzbillies on Trumpington Street. Organisers say you'll learn how to pair wines, cheeses, and sweet treats to make your Christmas celebrations more delicious during the exclusive and cosy evening at Fitzbillies, which has been a Cambridge staple since 1920.
The hosts say: "Indulge in a variety of Fitzbillies favourites, including mince pies and Chelsea buns, paired perfectly with wines from Cambridge Wine Merchants, from sparkling to dessert wine and award-winning cheeses from Rennet and Rind. Learn about the art of pairing wine with food."

The handpicked wine pairings on the night include English sparkling wine, port, dessert wines and more. Gourmet cheeses will be supplied by Rennet and Rind, and seasonal treats from Fitzbillies include macarons, mince pies, Chelsea buns and more.
Anyone wishing to attend can book tickets on EventBrite here for £47.30 per person. Due to the nature of the tasting, hosts say they are unable to cater for dietary requirements. The menu will include dairy, gluten, and nuts. Guests must be over 18 to attend.
