Now that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner's divorce proceedings have gained momentum, the Batman actor is finally planning to move out of his current home – the family guest house – to a new home.

According to a latest report, the 45-year-old actor is on the lookout for a new property, which will be close to his family home, where Garner and his three children – Violet, 11, Seraphina, 8, and Samuel, 5 – are currently residing.

"Ben will move out and is looking for a property close by so they can continue to co-parent as they have been," a source was quoted as saying by Us Weekly. "He will move out when he finds the right place," the report added.

This comes as the amicable exes speed-up their divorce almost two years after they had announced they separation. Affleck and Garner had split a day after their 10th marriage anniversary, following which the father-of-three continued to live in their main family property, but in the guest's section, reports claimed.

Earlier this week, the estranged couple put all reconciliation rumours to rest as they filed for formal divorce proceedings. According to court documents, the Pearl Harbor actress has sought joint legal and physical custody of their brood-of-three.

If rumours are to be believed, Affleck and Garner's divorce filing was "super amicable" and the couple had always planned to divorce. A source said told the celebrity news website, "They just did it the way they wanted to and did what was best for their kids. There was no catalyst, it was just time. Nothing has changed, they are and still will be putting their kids first."

Incidentally, the step taken by the former Hollywood couple coincides with the DC star's recent trip to rehab, where he allegedly completed treatment for alcohol addiction.

"I want to live life to the fullest and be the best father I can be," Affleck had said in a Facebook post in March.

He added, "I want my kids to know there is no shame in getting help when you need it, and to be a source of strength for anyone out there who needs help but is afraid to take the first step. I'm lucky to have the love of my family and friends, including my co-parent, Jen, who has supported me and cared for our kids as I've done the work I set out to do."
