Ben Cohen Is Slammed For Giving ‘Best Incorrect Answer Ever’ On Pointless TV Show

He’s been accused of taking too many knocks on the head by mocking viewers after his blundering appearance on Pointless.

Ben Cohen was left with his head in his hands after he fluffed the name of Strictly Come Dancing judge Darcey Bussell on a celebrity edition of the BBC game show.

Ben, 37, who competed on Strictly and is expecting a child with dancer Kristina Rihanoff, 38, made the awkward gaffe when host Alexander Armstrong asked for the names of TV talent show judges.

Ben yelled he wanted to go home after his blunder.

When the options appeared Strictly Come Dancing came up and Ben blurted: “I might as well go with Strictly… what have I got to do?”

Embarrassingly, Alexander said he just needed the name of one of the judges.

It got worse when Ben replied: “Darcey Brussels”.

One viewer mocked the rugby star for giving the “best incorrect answer in the history of the show”.

Another fan of the show tweeted: ‘Ben Cohen must have taken a few knocks to the head in his rugby career.’

Ben shouted: “I want to go home,” as he put his hands on his head, before he attempted to change his answer.

Alexander said: “I’m really sorry, I’m afraid I have to take that answer.

“It might not be the worst answer – well I don’t know – it might not be the worst answer of the round. Darcey Brussels? Darcey Brussels? Let’s see if that’s right and how many of the 100 people said Darcy Brussels.”

The screen flashed red, for wrong answer and Ben said: “I want to get out first now.”

Ben appeared on Pointless on Saturday alongside his 2003 Rugby World Cup winning teammate Kyran Bracken.

Pointless hosts Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman got a lot of mileage from mocking Ben.

When Kyran reminded him he competed on Strictly, Ben said: “Kyran, leave me along. I’m really flustered now, I want to get out of here.”

Ben met his current girlfriend, pro dancer Kristina Rihanoff, who is also pregnant with his baby, on the show.

Ben met partner Kristina on Strictly, but still forgot the name of one of the show’s judges.

But despite the rugby player’s embarrassment, Alexander’s co-host Richard Osman continued to mock Ben and said: “Darcey Brussels eh? That is a name of a cartoon character.

“I tell you what Ben, if your uncle George is watching, he would have said, ‘We may be World Cup winners but at least I didn’t go on Pointless and say, “Darcy Brussels”’.”

Cohen and Kyran were knocked out two rounds later.
