Ben Foden wedding: Una Healy 'supported by Saturdays bandmates' as rugby star ex marries girlfriend of two weeks

Una Healy’s Saturdays bandmates have reportedly rallied around the “shocked” singer after ex-husband Ben Foden married his girlfriend of two weeks, one year after their divorce.

The Sun reports that Rochelle Humes, Vanessa White, Mollie King and Frankie Bridge were “stunned” when Foden, 34, confirmed yesterday that he had tied the knot with new partner Jackie Belanoff Smith.

The pop stars reportedly rushed to get in touch with Healy to provide emotional support, the publication claimed.

“The girls have all been there for Una,” a source told the paper. “As soon as they heard what happened, Rochelle, Mollie, Vanessa and Frankie were straight on their phones as they were worried about their friend.

“They have rallied around to support her as they can only imagine what she is feeling .

“She’s a strong woman, but her friends have let her know that they will be there for her through this as it is still a shock to the system that Ben would remarry so soon.”

Standard Online has contacted Healy’s representatives for further comment.

This last year has been by far my toughest and most turbulent for a number of reasons that many of you I’m sure are aware of, in some way or another. The world has a funny way of working things out, many people think I’m a bad person - as I’m sure they’ll be many nasty comments left under this post by keyboard warriors a plenty. But I met a girl who seriously swept me off my feet and in a time of hardship showed me love, a deep devoted love. People will say we are mad or crazy or even fools, as @snackyjax and I had only been dating seriously for a little over 2 weeks before deciding to get married. But when someone like her comes in to your life, why would I wait? 🤷🏻‍♂️ The people who needed to know, such as close family and friends were told before anyone else and they are happy for me including my beautiful X wife @unahealy who I love even more for her blessing. Life is short and you only get one and it’s worth living. Jackie is the greatest human being I’ve ever come across - she’s beautiful inside and out, intelligent, charming, funny, generous, kind, gentle, energetic the list goes on. 😊 She will be a great step mum to Aoife and Tadhg and offers me a future I can’t wait to explore with her. My heart is full and I honestly couldn’t be happier, so those that want to bring negativity or try and tear me down go ahead. My life is great and I hope you all will one day feel happiness like i feel while I write this caption. I love you @snackyjax I can’t wait to see where our lives lead together you brought excitement and joy to my life and I couldn’t be prouder having stand at my side as Mrs Foden. (BTW the witness is Jackie’s sister @leila.bela thanks you too hun for being a legend) #Love

Former rugby player Foden shared a string of photos from his wedding ceremony with his Instagram followers yesterday, after he and Belanoff Smith said “I do” on board a yacht in Nantucket, Massachusetts.

He said that the year following his split from Healy had been “by far [his] toughest and most turbulent” but revealed that he had found “a girl who seriously swept [him] off [his] feet and in a time of hardship showed [him] love, a deep devoted love.”

“People will say we are mad or crazy or even fools, as @snackyjax and I had only been dating seriously for a little over 2 weeks before deciding to get married,” he wrote on Instagram. “But when someone like her comes in to your life, why would I wait?”

He said that Healy had given him and his new wife her “blessing” and said that Belanoff Smith would be “a great step mum” to the former couple’s two children, seven-year-old Aoife and four-year-old Tadhg.

Foden and Healey married in 2012 and divorced in 2018. Speaking to The Guardian last year, the sportsman admitted that he had cheated on his wife, but claimed that infidelity was not the only reason behind their split.

“At the moment anything that’s published on me is never very good and pretty rightly so because I was the one who committed adultery,” he told the paper.

“At the same time, it wasn’t the only reason for our divorce to go through.

“It’s not ideal, but we’re very amicable, we’re getting through it, we’re not the first people in the world to get divorced.”

Healey confirmed last December that she is dating Limerick hurler David Breen.
