Ben Stiller's new Christmas movie confirms Disney+ release date

Ben Stiller's Christmas movie Nutcrackers has confirmed its release date on Disney+.

The comedy-drama, directed by David Gordon Green, is set to arrive on the streaming service on November 29, and will be available to stream on Hulu in the US on the same day.

The movie follows Mike (Stiller), a workaholic who is ready to close the "biggest deal of his career" when his life suddenly changes. Pulled away from the big city, Mike ends up on a farm in rural Ohio as he tries to look after his recently orphaned nephews.

"The four rowdy boys cause trouble every which way they turn. What Mike thought was going to be a quick trip turns into an unexpected adventure," reads the synopsis.

"As the holidays approach, he discovers the big hearts behind the boys' mischief. This forces him to decide between his career and being the uncle his nephews need him to be."

Nutcrackers sees Stiller in his first lead movie role in over six years, with the actor also serving as a producer under his Red Hour Films banner.

Meanwhile, Stiller was recently spotted on the set of Netflix's upcoming Happy Gilmore sequel, which began production last month.

The actor will be reprising his role as the, now much older, nursing home orderly Hal L. Stiller was photographed with his signature horseshoe moustache and bushy hair, which were noticeably greyer than in the 1996 original movie.

Also reprising their roles are Adam Sandler (Happy Gilmore), Christopher McDonald (Happy's golfing rival Shooter McGavin), and Julie Bowen (Happy's girlfriend Virginia Venit).

Nutcrackers will be released on Disney+ and Hulu on November 29, 2024. Happy Gilmore 2 will stream on Netflix, with a release date yet to be confirmed.
