Benfica vs Manchester United: How to watch Champions League football for free on TV and online live streaming

Manchester United are back in Champions League action on Wednesday night with a trip to Lisbon to face Benfica.

Jose Mourinho's Red Devils are second in the Premier League and sitting pretty in Group A, with two Champions League wins in a row putting them top of the pile.

Another European win would go a long way to sealing a place in the last-16 of the competition, but Portuguese champions Benfica will be desperate for a result as they sit bottom of the group with no points.

While United's last performance - a goalless draw at Anfield against Liverpool - may not necessarily tempt many into watching another 90 minutes of the Red Devils away from home, here's how you can see the match for free courtesy of BT Sport.

Television

The Group A clash will be shown free-to-air on BT Sport Showcase on Freeview and BT TV (channel 115). Virgin Media customers can see the action for free on channel 548.

For those with BT Sport subscriptions, the match will be shown on BT Sport 2 and BT Sport 2 HD.

Online

Anyone will be able to watch the match for free via BT Sport's live stream on the night, along with the BT Sport app and video player.
