The summer is on its way and with it comes the warmer weather, sunshine and fun days away with the family and friends.

Escaping to the coast to while away the afternoon with ice cream and fish and chips and long walks (and the occasional paddle for the braver among us) is one of the best parts of this time of year.

In Glasgow, we are spoiled for choice with great beaches to go to, with the Ayrshire coast not too far away and other lesser-known gems to enjoy nearby.
