The smart revolution has not stopped with our home. No, no.

In fact, these days you can find smart alternatives for just about every piece of tech in your life, from your alarm clock to your speakers. But perhaps the most ground-breaking of all is the humble watch.

No longer reserved for just telling us the time, these watches go above and beyond, monitoring our health, fitness, sleep quality, making and taking calls, texts and emails, informing us of our calendar plans, telling us the weather and keeping us up to date with the news. And all of that from a compact device worn around your wrist. Back to the Future II could never.

To pack all these features into these state-of-the-art devices, understandably, they don’t come cheap. So when an occasion like Black Friday arises, we can’t help but seize the opportunity to smarten up our time tellers.

What is Black Friday?

Black Friday is a huge sales event that takes place every year on the fourth Friday of November. It follows the US’ Thanksgiving and sees retailers everywhere and worldwide slash prices on their covetable wares. The tradition dates back to the 80s and each year it gets bigger and better.

When is Black Friday 2022?

As is the nature of these types of events, Black Friday has become a banner term for a month-long discount extravaganza. For this reason, the discounts tend to begin at the beginning of November but the real main event won’t take place til November 25.

When is Cyber Monday 2022?

Cyber Monday is the last day of the sales event and is the Monday that follows Black Friday. This year it will take place on November 28. This day was traditionally reserved for tech deals but now tends to be a continuation of the epic reductions that Black Friday has to offer. Pay close attention though as for some retailers, the deals will crank up to the next level on this day, while others will drop the amount saved. It is best to play it safe and nab the bargains when you see them to avoid disappointment.

What were the best deals from Black Friday weekend last year?

There were discounts across Fitbit, Apple Watches, Garmin and Samsung.

What kinds of deals can we expect this year?

This year is scheduled to follow suit and all eyes are on the new Apple Watch 8 and recently launch Google Pixel Watches to see if there are any bargains to be had.
