Best Christmas wreaths of 2021 for a festive front door

 (FLOWRBX)
(FLOWRBX)

Never does a home look more aesthetically pleasing than at Christmastime. From the tree festooned in finery and the halls decked with boughs of holly (and mistletoe), to the festively fragranced candles burning in every room, there’s nothing quite like transforming our houses into a private winter wonderland.

For visiting guests as well as the postie delivering Christmas mail, it all begins with a wreath placed on your front door. They’re a great way to spread festive cheer out to the world.

Wreaths are so loved that we’re seeing them in the shops year round, the foliage changing for each of the seasons. Easter designs come embedded with eggs and chicks, with pastel colourways - a firm favourite in spring. We’ve even spotted Halloween wreaths and general autumnal styles - and why not? It’s a pleasing effect for very little effort.

King of them all is the Christmas wreath, of course. Originally made to symbolise eternal life through the circular arrangement of evergreen stems, you can get them in all sorts of materials, from all-bauble to faux looks entwined with fairy lights for extra glitz.

If you’re buying faux, it’s worth storing it properly so you can enjoy it year after year. Wrapped in tissue paper and stored in an adequately sized box works, but you can also get storage bags from Very from just £12.99 for a small size.

We’ve drawn up an edit of the best Christmas wreaths to shop or pre-order now, for your front door as well as above mantle pieces, beds, internal doors - anywhere that needs a touch of Christmas cheer.
