The best fried chicken shop in every state, according to Yelp
In honor of National Fried Chicken Sandwich Day, we've listed Yelp's top fried-chicken spots.
The global fried-chicken takeout market is projected to hit $8.25 billion by 2025, driven by the US.
From roadside eateries to diners, these US restaurants serve the best-fried chicken.
With National Fried Chicken Sandwich Day coming up on November 9, there's no better time to celebrate this crispy, savory sandwich.
Several fast-food chains, from Chick-fil-A and Popeyes to Jollibee and McDonald's, have set up on-app and in-store deals to mark the day.
However, if you're on the hunt for some local fare, Yelp's list of the top fried chicken shops in every state is worth checking out.
Fried chicken remains a favorite in the US, both for dining out and for enjoying at home. Market Research Future estimated that the global fried-chicken takeout market could reach more than $8.25 billion by 2025 — with the US being responsible for almost a third of the market share — and more than $10.52 billion by 2032.
For Yelp's list, which it released in August, it rounded up the best spots to get fried chicken by identifying businesses in its "chicken shop" category and ranking them based on ratings and the number of five-star reviews. All the restaurants on this list had a passing health score and were marked open as of June 25.
Whether you like your fried chicken boneless or bone-in, with a hint of spice, served in a bucket, or sandwiched between buns, these spots across the US have something for everyone.

They are seasoned like crazy and have a big crisp to it. I could've done without the heaping portion of coleslaw but I was able to remove some it.
