Milan Fashion Week wraps up today following a packed schedule of shows that the world’s best dressed traversed the city to watch.

Photographer Valentina Valdinoci has been on the ground capturing the best looks guests had to offer, indicating a few key trends to take note of now.

All-neutral-everything swept the streets, exemplified no better than by Swedish-born, Somali model Ikram Abdi Omar. Spotted outside Fendi’s AW23 collection, Omar paired stone grey flares with a beige jumper, bulbous patent leather heels and a cream coloured Fendi Peekaboo bag. Pale monochrome looks continued coming, and intricately cut trench coats were paired with same shade chinos for simple but effective dressing.

Less polish was seen elsewhere. Outside Diesel’s show, swathes of guests kitted out in Y2K-style grunge denim floor length coats, dark denim skirts, slouchy denim cargos and boys in double denim sets with matching denim bum bags all hustled to get inside. The It-accessory to finish the look was Diesel’s now famed 1DR denim shoulder bag, complete with the oversized ‘D’ logo brandished on the front flap.

Others looking to stand out got creative with their looks. Outside the Gucci show, one guest paired her neon orange frock with an experimental make-up look - a red squiggle framed her face, offset by stuck-pearls.

Sisters Ami and Aya Amiaya lead the twinning trend on Milan’s streets with their unmissable matching looks. This season’s highlights included sleek, beige oversized blazers, shorts and knee high black leather boots, and tartan skirts paired with white vests and fuzzy hats at Prada.
