The best UK spas to head to in 2019 for some post-Christmas pampering

Once we've survived the booze, late nights and gorging that the festive period brings with it, many of us will be after some well-earned respite – and where better to find it than a spa break?

Fortunately you won't have to travel far, as the UK is home to countless stunning and luxurious spas, and to guide you on your way the Good Spa Guide has just announced its award winners for the best spas in the UK 2018.

The guide crowned 18 winners in total split into two categories: The Readers' Choice National Awards and Regional Awards. The former was voted for by over 60,000 spa-goers, while the latter was judged by secret spa spies who reviewed more than 200 spas and treatments over the course of 2018.

From the best day spa to the best spa in London, here's where you should head to recharge in 2019.
