Bette Midler Bites Back As Kim Kardashian Naked Selfie Spat Rolls On... And On

Bette Midler has accused Kim Kardashian West of being unable to take a joke after she mocked the reality TV veteran over her nude selfie.

The entertainer earlier this week poked fun at the 35-year-old, who attempted to ‘break the internet’ by uploading a naked snap on social media.

Bette joked the brunette, who made her name after her sex tape was leaked 13 years ago, would have to swallow a camera if she wanted to expose more of herself to the world than she has done before.

Bette kicked off their Twitter feud with the message: ‘Kim Kardashian tweeted a nude selfie today. If Kim wants us to see a part of her we’ve never seen, she’s gonna have to swallow the camera.’

Kim snapped back on Twitter: ‘Hey @BetteMidler I really didn’t want to bring up how you sent me a gift awhile back trying to be a fake friend then come at me #dejavu.’

Bette, 70, last night wrote on the gossip network: ‘I never tried to fake friend you. Looks like anyone can take a selfie but not everyone can take a joke… .’

The Instagram snap that started the row and, below, Bette and Kim’s catty social media exchanges, in which Kim mentions how fans believe her husband and family hacked her Twitter account to attack the actress.

Chloe Grace Moretz was also targeted for suggesting the reality star wasn’t a good role model.

Kim fired back: ‘Let’s all welcome @ChloeGMoretz to Twitter, since no one knows who she is. Your Nylon cover is cute boo.’

Kim, who has two children North, two, and Saint, three months, with husband Kanye West, confirmed the nude photo that sparked the row was an old photo from before she gave birth to son Saint three months ago.

She wrote online: ‘I’m flattered some of you guys thought my post earlier was a recent pic! That was my blonde moment a year ago & 25lbs less! #MondayMotivation.’

And referring to the fortune she has made from apps and TV, and Kanye’s claim he was $53million in debt from investing in solo projects, she added: ‘Sorry I’m late to the party guys I was busy cashing my 80 million video game check & transferring 53 million into our joint account.’
