Better Call Saul - Cobbler and Amarillo review

Quite a late review so I’ll keep it short. It was another intricate and hugely enjoyable episode with some great shipping moments for Jimmy and Kim, a clever bit of wrapping up for Mike, Daniel and the baseball cards and another sign of Jimmy’s transformation to Saul when he fakes evidence to get the cops off Daniels tale.

Chuck also came back to make Jimmy feel like crap and the show continued to have many great long languishing scenes that built up a sort of tension in every scene. I liked it a lot.

The pie story was funny and weird too.

Another strong episode with a lot of great moments as Jimmy creates a new ad that gets himself into hot water and Mike protects his family from a dangerous neighbourhood and meets with an old associate.

Jimmy’s morals are continually going that little bit further and it’s straining his relationship with Kim, whilst his feud with brother Chuck is close to exposing his flaws. Mike is still the show’s trump card as every moment he’s on screen helps us understand him more and more and it’ll be fascinating to see how his and Sauls stories interweave in the future.

It looks great and plays out excellently, I love this show.
