Bexley Stabbing: Man, 20, Stabbed To Death In London

A 20-year-old man has died in hospital after being stabbed in the chest during a confrontation in the streets in Bexley, south east London.

The Metropolitan Police has confirmed a 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

Officers were called at 2:48pm to Barnehurst Avenue following reports of men fighting in the street.

Earlier, on Sunday morning, two men were stabbed outside a butcher’s shop in Tottenham, north London.

The men, aged 40 and 29, were suffering from knife injuries after police found them outside West Green Halal Meat and Groceries store at around at 9.35am.

Their injuries are not life-threatening, Scotland Yard said.

On Saturday afternoon, a man was left fighting for his life in hospital after being stabbed in Whitechapel, east London, after a reported fight on Turner Street.

He remains in a critical but stable condition.

Two men were arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder and have been taken into custody, the Metropolitan Police said.

Elsewhere in the city, a man thought to be in his early 20s was stabbed several times at Westfield Shopping Centre in Shepherd’s Bush on Saturday evening.

His injuries are not life-threatening, the force said.

On Thursday, two teenagers were stabbed to death within hours of each other in the capital.

Baptista Adjei, 15, from North Woolwich, was attacked on or after getting off a bus which stopped near to the Stratford Shopping Centre.

Police were called to the incident on Broadway in Stratford, east London, shortly after 3pm.

A 15-year-old boy who handed himself in to an east London police station was arrested on suspicion of murder and will appear before magistrates on Monday.

Five hours later, at 8.21pm, officers were called to the Brandon Estate in Camberwell, south London, where they found an 18-year-old man with stab wounds.

He died an hour later.
