Beyoncé, JLo, and Harry Styles lead the 2023 Grammy Awards best dressed

The international music scene congregated in downtown LA last night, where the 2023 Grammy Awards saw the industry’s giants polish up - led by none other than Beyoncé.

Fresh from her a controversial trip to Dubai, and after dropping tickets for her Renaissance World Tour which sent the beehive into frenzy, the notoriously private singer has found herself firmly in the spotlight of late. She did not shy away from it on Sunday night.

Her red carpet look, which she posted on Instagram, was a tin-foil silver, custom Gucci design featuring a nude corset bust, thigh hight slit and flounced trim. Her silver lace up heels were from affordable label Femme LA, and she finished the look with bicep length leather opera gloves.

Joining her in ramping up the star power was Jennifer Lopez, who was another sparkling sight in custom Gucci. JLo’s look revolved around a racy bodysuit which cascaded into a navy blue, sheer train. She added oomph with drop strings of crystal embellishments falling from the bodice.

Elsewhere, the belles of the ball wore blue. Taylor Swift adopted the trend, and looked sleek in a two piece Roberto Cavalli outfit which featured a pooling, floor length maxi skirt and a matching, long sleeve crop top. Both were deep blue, with starburst embroidery splashed across.

Cardi B followed the memo, as she arrived with husband Offset in one of the most sculptural styles of the evening. The twisting, cobalt-coloured frock looked to defy gravity, and was designed by Indian courtier Gaurav Gupta. The look made its debut on the catwalk at Paris’ Haute Couture Fashion Week catwalk just two weeks ago.

As is expected when it comes to one of the music industry’s biggest nights out, many artists opted for high drama. This year, statement makers were led by Sam Smith, who is fresh out of a heated a debate following the release of their nipple tassel heavy music video, for new single ‘I’m Not Here To Make Friends’. Dispute did not see Smith become a wallflower, however, as they arrived in a blazing red Valentino Opera coat, complete with matching cane, top hat, veil, and leather gloves.

And there was more. Not only did Smith opt for the voluptuous rouge, but was joined by a monochromatic entourage. Singer Kim Petras, and Ru Paul’s Drag Race stars Violet Chachki and Gottmik - plus four backing models - stepped onto the carpet, in red, alongside.

Competing for most outlandish was Lizzo, who channelled Florence Pugh’s flower cape in Midsommar, with an embellished, orange look by Dolce & Gabbana. She was joined by new boyfriend Myke Wright, just hours after breaking the news on Instagram. And the current queen of Avant Garde, Doja Cat, was head turning in a skin-tight, black latex gown by Versace.

But it was boys this year that sent the internet into oblivion. And one in particular; Harry Styles. The singer took home top prize of ‘Album of the Year’, and stayed true to his flamboyant style in a cheeky, rainbow-coloured, diamond patterned Swarovski covered jumpsuit. The dazzling dungaree style was a custom look by EgonLab, a Paris-based label known for gender-fluid luxury clothing,  and featured no less that 250,000 hand applied crystals, taking over 150 hours to construct.

Pharrell Williams also chose to support a younger label, as he wore a studded, red leather tracksuit from upcoming Portuguese brand Ernest W. Baker.
