I don't know who made up the whole thing about Beyoncé performing at the DNC on Thursday, but that person should immediately be jailed.

We already knew it was a long shot that Beyoncé would show up to anything outside of her own tour to perform. But they seriously had people believing that she might show up at one of the most political events of the year.

Honestly, in hindsight, we should've known better.

She ultimately didn't show up, which was disappointing but also pretty funny. Like, guys. Come on. We knew there was no way this was happening, right?

The best thing to come out of this has been the memes. Everybody is making up events that Beyoncé might show up to next just like she was supposed to show up at the DNC.

Lesson learned. Never trust a Beyoncé rumor, folks.
