Beyoncé Tries To Break Verizon In Super Bowl Commercial, Turns Into ‘BarBey’ & Drops Two New Country Songs
Beyoncé attempted to break the Verizon network in a Super Bowl LVIII commercial and teased new music.
In the spot, the “Break My Soul” singer tried different ways to overload Verizon’s wireless network by opening a Lemonade stand, dropping new music playing the saxophone, becoming a gamer sporting the Razer Kraken Kitten headset, introducing an A.I. version of herself and channeling Barbie turning into “BarBey.”

However, none of Beyoncé’s attempts broke Verizon with the singer saying, “You ain’t gonna break me.”
At the end, Beyoncé teased, “OK, they ready. Drop the new music.”
Over on Beyoncé’s socials, the singer shared a video teasing new country music, including the first single, “Texas! Hold ’em.” The second song is titled “16 Carriages,” and both have become available on streaming platforms. The album, reportedly titled Renaissance: Part II, is set to drop on March 29.
Beyoncé also revealed the title of a second song “16 Carriages.”
News of Beyoncé’s music comes a week after her husband Jay-Z blasted the Grammys for not awarding her Album of the Year despite being the most awarded artist in history.
“I’m just saying we just want you to get it right,” Jay-Z said about the Grammys. “We love y’all. We want y’all to get it right — at least get it close to right.”
Jay-Z acknowledged that music is subjective and added, “I don’t want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys than everyone and never won Album of the Year. So even by your own metrics, that doesn’t work. Think about that. The most Grammys… Never won Album of the Year. That doesn’t work.”
