Britain's Got Talent winner Ashleigh Butler had it tough when her legendary dog Pudsey sadly passed away last summer, but she's celebrating some good news this week.

Ashleigh entered Crufts with her new canine Sully at the weekend, and the talented duo went on to win gold in the agility event.

Instead of Ashleigh & Sully, Ashleigh entered under the curious name The Closet Monster of Ashpen. Sully even managed to beat Pudsey's best-ever score.

Speaking to The Sun, Ashleigh dedicated the winning performance to her late pooch.

"It was a very sad Crufts, as it was the first time I'd not competed with Pudsey for a long time, but the championship win was for him as well," she said.

"I definitely thought Pudsey was with us cheering Sully and me on. Sully was very proud. Ever since Pudsey left us Sully has stepped up and matured."

Good work, guys!

The final of the annual dog show was hit with drama when just as a whippet named Tease was being awarded the coveted Best In Show trophy, somebody ran towards the podium.

Ashleigh & Pudsey won BGT all the way back in 2012. After 11 years together, Pudsey passed away last July after being diagnosed with acute leukaemia.

Pudsey performed across the world and even starred in his own film, Pudsey the Dog: The Movie, where he was voiced by David Walliams.

No pressure, Sully.
