Biden Addresses Striking Workers at GM Parts Distribution Center in Michigan
President Joe Biden addressed striking United Auto Workers (UAW) members at the General Motors’ Willow Run Redistribution Center in Belleville, Michigan, on September 26.
The UAW posted footage of Biden as he spoke to the crowd, saying, “Now they’re doing incredibly well. And guess what? You should be doing incredibly well, too.”
In another clip, UAW president Shawn Fain tells the crowd, “That’s how we’re going to defeat these people, that’s how we’re going to defeat corporate greed, by standing together!”
The president’s visit is historic, as it will mark the first time in at least a century that a sitting president has visited a picket line, according to reports. Credit: UAW International Union via Storyful
