Biden Pokes Fun at Taylor Swift Conspiracy Theory After Chiefs’ 2024 Super Bowl Win: 'Just Like We Drew It Up'
"Dark Brandon" is getting in on the joke after far-right conspiracists suggested that the NFL rigged its playoffs for the Chiefs so that Swift could leverage the moment to endorse Biden for president
President Joe Biden's 2024 campaign is making light of right-wing conspiracy theories surrounding the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl victory on Sunday night.
Following the Chiefs' win, Biden's verified personal Instagram account posted a "Dark Brandon" photo of the president with laser beams shooting out of his eyes, along with the caption, "Just like we drew it up, @Chiefs."
The post was poking fun at the baseless theory that a Chiefs' Super Bowl victory was designed by Democrats so that Taylor Swift — who is dating Chiefs' tight end Travis Kelce — could leverage the opportunity to endorse Biden for president in 2024.

Hours before his Instagram post on Sunday night, Biden uploaded his first-ever TikTok, which also included a nod to the conspiracy.
During a series of this-or-that questions about the Super Bowl, the off-camera interviewer asked, "Deviously plotting to rig the season so the Chiefs would make the Super Bowl, or the Chiefs just being a good football team?" Biden smiled and responded, "I'd get in trouble if I told you."
Swift — who has been outspoken in recent years on a handful of political issues, including supporting LGBTQ+ rights, reproductive rights and gun safety reform — endorsed Biden in the 2020 presidential election, but has not yet endorsed anyone in the lead-up to the 2024 election.
Meanwhile, the Chiefs have won the Super Bowl four times in the franchise's history — three of them in the last five years alone (including in 2020, during the Donald Trump presidency).
Recently, conservative pundits have stoked fear among Republicans that Swift's endorsement could sway the election, given her loyal following in the United States. In January, Fox News host Jesse Watters claimed that the Department of Defense has talked about making the pop superstar a tool in its psychological operations unit.
During a broadcast of Jesse Watters Primetime, the talk show host suggested that Swift — who recently partnered with nonpartisan organization Vote.org to encourage voter registration — could be "a front for a covert political agenda," asking his viewers: "Have you ever wondered why or how she blew up like this?"

Swift —who officially reached billionaire status in 2023, according to Forbes — has broken numerous music and box office records, long before she began dating Kelce.
After Watters' segment aired, Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh playfully brushed off Watters' unusual claims, telling Politico that "as for this conspiracy theory, we are going to shake it off" — a reference to Swift's hit 2014 single.
