Bierschenke Tower Hill: German beer hall to celebrate new opening with 300 pint giveaway

Oktoberfest is kicking off a little earlier for Londoners this year, as Bierschenke gives away 300 free pints of German beer this week.

The Munich-style beer hall will serve the free drinks tomorrow (June 27) at its new location in Tower Hill.

The first 300 revellers to walk through the door on the opening day of the new Crutched Friars location will be entitled to a free pint of German-brewed Krombacher. You'll have to be up for an early start though, as the beer hall will open at 4pm.

Those who miss out on the complimentary stein will still be able to enjoy 25 per cent off its home-cooked German food, and get its signature beers for just £4.50, until July 10.

The City site is the second location for the Mittel-European party spot, which has been serving up German beer in Blomfield Street near London Bridge since 2014, following an inital five-year stint in Aldwych.

The new spot for the Bavarian-themed bar will boast 6000 sq ft of space, with room for 240 people at its traditional Bierkeller-style long tables. The maple-furnitured room will also host a live oom-pah band every Saturday to really get the party going.

“Since the opening of our London Wall site, we have experienced huge demand to extend our presence further and are currently in negotiations for two more sites,” said Bierschenke owner Gerry Hanratty.

“Tower Hill will offer the consistent Bierschenke experience and we hope the people of London are as excited as we are about the opening. Prost!”

Bierschenke Tower Hill will open on June 27 at 9 Crutched Friars, EC3N 2AU. For more information, visit bierschenke.co.uk
