Yahoo News Big Bang cast reunite for a special reason after shooting last episode
After almost 300 episodes, it's nearly time to say goodbye to The Big Bang Theory, with the cast having just filmed their final episode.
But the group had one last date together the day after filming when they appeared at the iconic TCL Chinese Theatre for a hand and footprints ceremony.
Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch all received the honour after 12 years of delivering some of the most scientific laughs on television.
Speaking at the ceremony on Wednesday (May 1), executive producer and co-creator Chuck Lorre said: "Having just wrapped the final episode the night before, we’re on a bit of an emotional rollercoaster.
"But we can definitely count this iconic handprint ceremony at the Chinese Theatre as one of the highs. We’d like to thank all of our viewers who’ve supported us over the last 12 years and made an unforgettable event like this possible."
On Tuesday, Cuoco shared a first-look at the group's emotional last scene together. Alongside the image, she wrote: "Final group scene. That’s a wrap."

The series finale, airing later this month, will be followed by Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki hosting a retrospective documentary called Unraveling the Mystery: A Big Bang Farewell.
The Big Bang Theory's final ever episode will air on Thursday, May 16 on CBS in the US, ahead of the season two finale of spin-off show Young Sheldon and then the farewell special.
