The Big Bang Theory star Mayim Bialik has revealed her dream ending for show Call Me Kat following the news that it had been cancelled.

Last week, it was confirmed that the series, which is based on UK sitcom Miranda and launched in 2021, would not be moving forward following its season 3 finale.

As such, the actress – who plays a woman who runs a cat café in Louisville – revealed how she would have concluded the series had they been given more time.

"It’s so hard to say goodbye to yesterday….We made a lot of people laugh during COVID in ways that at first seemed impossible," she shared in an Instagram post of the show's cast.

"But with this incredible cast - Cheyenne, Swoosie, Julian and Kyla - and, of course, with the late Leslie Jordan, all things that seemed impossible became possible."

Bialik then suggested: "Decide the ending you want, but for me, here’s where I think we all end up: Kat and Max live happily ever after, Randi and Carter get married and do the same, and Sheila is forever in everyone’s life bringing joy and wisdom. And Phil lives on forever.

"Thank you for being a part of our journey."

The show's season 3 finale ended with Kat supporting Max in his decision to tour with a major country artist, though he promised he would make things work between them upon his return. Carter and Randi also decided they didn't want a quick wedding.

Speaking upon the cancellation news, Fox said: "We are very proud of Call Me Kat. But, unfortunately, the audience response to it was not as strong as we had hoped.

"We are thankful for our partnership with Warner Bros Television, That's Wonderful Productions, Sad Clown Productions, BBC Studios, Mayim Bialik, Jim Parsons and the entire cast and crew for their work and dedication to Call Me Kat."

Call Me Kat aired on Fox.
