Big Brother has had endless amounts of shocking moments over the years - Fight Night, Kim Woodburn's adultery rant and cheating Stephen Bear being confronted by his girlfriend to name a few - but none were as shocking as Thursday's episode.
We mean that quite literally. After making housemates count 591 chickens and sending them on a totally fake seven-hour plane ride to China, Big Brother actually decided to send literal shockwaves through them.
The voltage was for a task where Lewis F, Cameron and Akeem had to act as Thinkers for the group and the rest of the house were Doers, all to accomplish a goal of creating a working electrical circuit. The trouble was that even a tiny mistake meant all of the Doers received a nasty shock in their bums.
Please feel free to watch, and rewatch, the housemates endure physical pain for your enjoyment below - and don't feel too bad for laughing because plenty of others loved this reinvention of the classic shock task too.
Most surprising of all was Cian's comment while his fellow housemates were writhing in pain, as he beamed: "I like it!"
Old school electric shock task, nothin can beat it!! 😀😀 #BBUK- Big Brother Tweeting (@BBTweetingUK) October 11, 2018
It just wouldn’t be a series of Big Brother without shock suits #BBUK- Upload TV #BBUK (@upload_tv) October 11, 2018
The housemates should have known they were in trouble when "Thinker" Lewis F wondered what the word "condiment" meant in one of the questions.
"What's a condiment?"- TWJ (@IrnBruRevolutio) October 11, 2018
And I'm supposed to believe he's deep? #BBUK
Lewis doesn’t know what a condiment is. He also thought eggs were dairy #BBUK- Big Blagger (@bigblagger) October 11, 2018
"They're probably the worst three people to put as the thinkers." 🤣 #bbuk- Kellie (@kelliebarron94) October 11, 2018
The Thinkers' inability to, well, think also cost Sian and Isabella in the next phase of the task, where they were forced to eat snails, maggots, fish sauce and more gross food items for wrong answers. You probably guessed that the Thinkers failed, but we all won!
Big Brother continues on Friday at 10pm on Channel 5.
