Big Brother: Best Shows Ever took us back to 2010 with Celebrity Big Brother 7 tonight and the 'Tree of Temptation' episode but it wasn't quite getting viewers excited enough.

The episode featured mixed martial artist Alex Reid being asked by the naughty talking tree to smash up the house's snowman and keep the reason a secret in exchange for being allowed an hour with his beloved punchbag – a task he decided to accept, doing a pretty great job of knocking over the snowman.

However his later excuses for why he was so sweaty – after making use of his punchbag – weren't so solid, as he attempted to pretend that he had been punished by Big Brother for his destruction by being forced to sing, dance and do sit-ups.

The episode also featured the surprise arrival of Donald Trump's first wife Ivana into the house, as well as a heartfelt late-night chat between actress Stephanie Beacham and actor and former footballer Vinnie Jones.

But there were plenty of fans who weren't all that impressed with the choice of episode, suggesting that there were plenty of other more eventful series and episodes to choose from.

One fan dubbed it the "Worst Episode Ever" while others called it "pretty dull" and "another odd choice":

While there may be several years worth of Big Brother series to choose from Best Shows Ever host Rylan Clark-Neal has revealed that there are some episodes that can't be re-shown, so the selection on offer is a little more limited than you might think.

"Just to say there was certain episodes that me and @ThisisDavina chose that couldn't be shown for reasons outside our control," he said. "In all honesty we could have filled a whole year's [schedule] of amazing shows. Let's enjoy these ones for now."

So far we've already been treated to Big Brother 7's Nikki Grahame recreating her legendary "Who is she? Who is she, where did you find her?!" rant and discovered which luxury item the Big Brother 1 housemates were allowed to bring into the house.

Big Brother: Best Shows Ever airs on E4.
