The Big Brother house has been evicted as ITV cut off the live stream and issued warning. The housemates taking part in the 2024 series were put out of the house after the fire alarm went off on Tuesday, October 15.

ITV's live stream to the house was also cut off and a bird song was played whilst the incident was resolved by producers, reports the Mirror. An ITV spokesperson said: “The housemates were evacuated from the Big Brother house for a brief period yesterday after a fire alarm was activated.”

“The safety and security of our cast and crew is always of the utmost importance.”

According to PA news agency reports, there was no fire and no cause for concern during the incident. The incident follows drama on Monday night’s episode that saw contestant Khaled accuse Ali of vilifying him, while Daze got emotional, after Khaled was forced to make a decision over the eviction nominations.

The episode was extended by 15 minutes and saw the housemates nominate their fellow contestants for the first time, with those who received the most nominations facing this week’s live eviction. Khaled, who has been granted power as the head of house, was given the opportunity to secretly opt for a killer nomination, adding Martha to the list of contestants already up for eviction.

Housemates up for eviction alongside Martha are Ali, Lily and Daze. Khaled's decision resulted in arguments between Nathan and Daze, and Ali and Khaled. In a clip that was shown on Late and Live ahead of tonight's episode, Ali partly apologises to Khaled but drops a bombshell claim of her own.

She says: "I take responsibility for the insult, it wasn't as funny as I thought it was." Before adding: "I am leaving. I'm sorry things have snowballed. I'm not staying. Not a chance." Ali then went into the bedroom, where she told Lily and Daze: "I'm going, I don't want to be here anymore. Don't tell the others but I don't want to be here anymore so I'm done."

Fans of the show were became concerned that a housemate had walked out ahead of this week's evictions but host AJ Odudu told the studio audience on Monday: "I can confirm that Ali is still in the house for now." Ali has been clashing with Khaled in recent episodes, as she decided to speak directly to him to air her thoughts.

She said: "I think you're a nice boy, but I find, sometimes the interactions, I find false and I find that very, very difficult because then I don't want to engage with it because I don't want to play into it. I don't want to be fake with you and I don't want to be like, shaking your hand and hugging you when inside I'm thinking, 'I just don't buy it'."

Last week Ryan was the first contestant to be booted off the show after he was put up for eviction alongside barber Dean, former royal butler Nathan and dental nurse Rosie. The next episode of Big Brother will air at 9pm on ITV2 tonight, followed by sister show Big Brother Late And Live at 10pm.
