Big Brother viewers ask 'what is the point' as ITV air task just two days before final

The Big Brother final is just two days away as Friday night's episode will see one of the final six being crowned this year's champion.

Wednesday night's episode saw the housemates receive letters from their loved ones, but fans at home were wondering why ITV had left it so late to give them the letters.

One person expressed: "Surely a task/moment like this has come too late?? like what’s the point it finishes 3 days after they got these messages lol #bbuk."

Another fan said: "Oh great, 'messages from home'. Always, without fail, absolute death segments on every single reality show. #bbuk."

Somebody else penned: "They'll see their damn family and friends in a few days, this boring a** letter from home s**t does my head in! #BBUK."

Yet another quipped: "This is basically like when I’m A Celeb contestants get letter from him 2 hours before they leave the f*****g jungle. They’ll start pumping snow patrol or some s***e over the phone calls to make it ‘big sad’." (sic)

A fifth added: "The stupid sad music over the messages from home. They’ve only been gone 6 weeks ffs #BBUK."

While a sixth commented: "messages from home is always the worst part of any series of reality tv. a waste of time honestly. i’ve had to turn this episode off. i’ll be back on friday for the final. #BBUK."

Tuesday night's episode saw two more housemates were brutally axed just days before the final.

It was revealed that both Sarah and Thomas had received the lowest amount of votes and were forced to exit the most famous house in the UK.

The vault was reopened again and Sarah, Thomas, Segun and Nathan were summoned inside, with the rest of the housemates having to guess which two would be leaving.

They guessed correctly, which meant they didn't lose £10,000, and the prize fund remains at £90,000.

They weren't the only housemates to leave this week as Baked Potato was evicted during Monday's episode, meaning she had to say goodbye to her beau Nathan.

Ali, Hanah, Segun, Marcello, Emma and Nathan will battle it out on Friday's finale, with one housemate taking home the full cash prize and title of Big Brother 2024 winner.

Big Brother continues tomorrow night at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
