Big Brother winner Pete Bennett is now working as a cleaner

Back in 2006, Pete Bennett won our hearts when he took part in Big Brother, with absolutely nobody being surprised when he was announced as the winner of that year’s series, scooping a £100,000 prize.

However, times have changed for the reality star, and now Pete has set up a business as a “celebrity cleaner” after blowing all of the money that he won and winding up homeless.

Now 34, Pete promises to do a variety of household chores for a whopping £100 an hour, with the extra cost coming due to his celebrity status.

Speaking to the Daily Star about ‘Celebriclean’, Pete explained: “I don’t mind getting my hands dirty and I’ll do any sort of cleaning job.”

Pete previously admitted that his post-Big Brother life didn’t quite go to plan, sharing: “The work dried up pretty fast, no-one would touch me with a barge pole because I was to do with ‘Big Brother’. I lost it all.

“It all kind of went wrong, it didn’t go to plan. I had all that money and I didn’t know what to do with it.

“I put it on the wrong things. I was homeless after having so much money. It’s easy come, easy go. The fame pushed me in a way I didn’t want to go, I didn’t like it.”

Pete, who suffers with Tourette’s syndrome, also revealed that he hoped to get into the film industry – here’s hoping that his new career path will help him get to Hollywood, eh?
