Big Brother's Dean opens up about homophobia and Romany heritage
Big Brother spoilers for the latest episode follow.
Big Brother housemate Dean has opened up about the homophobia he has experienced in his line of work.
Speaking to Ryan, the barber explained that he was a bit nervous when the non-housemates joined the housemates, as there were a lot of men, and he's had bad experiences with straight male customers.
He recalled that he has had men not want him to cut their hair because they think "they might catch something". Ryan didn't understand how men could think like that, stating: "Just because you're gay doesn't mean you fancy every man."
"I fancy no one," Dean replied.

He also talked about his Romany heritage on his father's side of the family and how he grew up in-between houses. He said it wasn't something many people knew about him, but he was proud of it, and that he wished he was able to do tea-leaf reading like his family members.
Sarah and Daze asked him what it was like growing up gay in a traveller family, but the scene cut away before he spoke about it.

Meanwhile, Nathan opened up about his own sexuality in a conversation with Hanah in the bathroom.
She asked him how he identified as she didn't want to guess. In response, he said that his main thing is someone with "a good heart".
"What I've said all along, I don't put a label on it," he said. "I just go for person, I don't mind. I've just decided not to put a label on it, you know what I mean?
"Originally, I did, originally I came out as gay, but then I was like 'no, I'm not doing that.' Everyone wants to put a label on it, and I just can't be arsed with that."
Dean, Nathan and Ryan are all nominated for this week's eviction, alongside Rosie Baked Potato.
Big Brother airs nightly on ITV2 and ITVX, followed by Big Brother: Late & Live.
