Big Brother's Nadia Almada's message on 20th anniversary of win
Big Brother legend Nadia Almada has shared an inspiring message on the 20th anniversary of her winning the show.
Nadia was the reality show's first-ever trans contestant in 2004, paving the way for future contestants like Hallie Clarke to share her truth on the show decades later.
The reality star won the final public poll of Big Brother 5 with an incredible 74% of the overall vote and would go on to compete in 2010's Ultimate Big Brother.
Reflecting on the milestone anniversary, Nadia credited her time on Big Brother with beginning a national dialogue on trans rights that continues today.
I'm throwing it back to 2004.
Not only I won Big Brother but also captured the nation's heart. a moment where humanity prevailed and transcended bias beliefs.
That moment felt like a turning point for trans rights. It sparked important conversations that we're still having today pic.twitter.com/SARhwPUgWF— Nadia (@nadiaalmadatv) August 7, 2024
