'Big move' as new principal announced for Gloucestershire secondary school

A major secondary school in Gloucestershire has announced its new principal. All Saints' Academy in Cheltenham has appointed Benjamin Williams as its new leader.

He took on the reins of the academy in Blaisdon Way this week and is moving from Kent to take on the role at the 1,000-pupil school. The school said he brings a wealth of experience from his extensive career in faith-based educational leadership roles.

Mr Williams said: "I am excited to take up the post as the Principal at All Saints' Academy. The Academy vision that seeks to see the whole community live 'life in all its fullness' is close to my heart.

"Our faith ethos recognises students at All Saints' as unique, known, and loved by God. They are capable of great things - both during their time with us and beyond as they step into adulthood."

Mr Williams' career includes leadership positions, such as leading a Sixth Form, heading a mathematics department, and most recently serving as Deputy Head. His background in faith school contexts is described as aligning seamlessly with the values and mission of All Saints' Academy.

He added: "It is a big move for my family and me as we look to settle in the area. As I begin this role, I am both impressed with the community I see now, and excited about what can be achieved together in the years to come."

In a statement, The All Saints' Academy community said it was pleased to welcome Mr Williams and looks forward to his leadership in creating an environment where every student can excel and reach their full potential.
